⁷But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. ⁸This is why it says:
   "When he ascended on high,
      he led captives in his train
      and gave gifts to men." ⁹(What does "he ascended" mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions? ¹⁰He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) ¹¹It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, ¹²to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.  - Ephesians 4:7-12

It is most important for each Christian to develop a close, loving relationship with The Lord first.  New Christians typically need time to grow in Christ before launching out in service.  But as soon as you are ready to help, by "Reaching Out and Building Up," there is a place of ministry for you! 

There is much we can do after we have prayed, but nothing that should be done before we pray.  Jesus modeled the prayer life and taught his disciples how powerful it was.  He said we could ask anything in his name, and it would be done.  Asking in his name means asking in accordance with his will.  We discern his will by learning his Word and depending on the Holy Spirit to guide us in the right way.

We offer many opportunities for prayer:

• Special prayer times during worship services.
• Prayer as part of every meeting, especially in small groups.
• An Email prayer chain
• A weekly prayer list
• Men's prayer and breakfast on Saturday mornings
• A monthly Concert of Prayer on Sunday evenings

Bible Adventure is the name of our Children's Ministries here at Solid Ground Church.  It consists of many separate but interrlated programs, including:

• Alta Loma Christian School
• Nursery
• Jump Start
• Children's Church
• Child Evangelism Fellowship
• Vacation Bible School
• Youth Camps

Our youth ministry is based in God's Word and demonstrated by godly leaders who really care about teenagers. Many adults, including parents of the youth, are involved in various aspects of the work.  Youth outreach at Solid Ground Church includes:

• "Reach" Youth Group on Wednesday evenings
• Youth mission efforts once or twice a month.
• Social events to keep the young people close to one another and to draw others into the group.
• Middle School and High School classes during the "Jump-Start" hour on Sunday
• Periodic involvement of youth in Sunday morning services
• After-school discipleship for Middle School Boys and Girls (separately)
• Youth camps

Music and the Arts are often used as part of the process of congregational worship.  Our worship ministries include:
